Who am I?

Since childhood, I have always been fascinated by nature and plants.

In 2004, I fell in love with my very first orchid — the beginning of a lifelong passion.

Eager to learn how to cultivate and care for it, I turned to online forums of the time, where I discovered a community of enthusiasts willing to share their advice.

A few years later, my curiosity led me to purchase my first flasks of baby orchids. I grew many of them and eventually began selling my surplus, taking my first steps into the world of orchid propagation.

Fate then brought me to the manager of Phytorchid, a company specializing in in vitro orchid culture, who was planning to close down. I decided to acquire the business, driven by the desire to expand it in my own way: offering orchids, providing proper equipment, developing in vitro culture, and above all, focusing on education to help others succeed.

My journey later crossed paths with Marcel Lecoufle, who gave me the opportunity to acquire his laboratory, allowing me to further develop my projects.

Not long after, I met Alain, who became both a close friend and research partner. Together, we delved into technical topics such as fertilizer assimilation. From this collaboration, the Facebook group "1001 Orchidées : les reconnaître et en prendre soin" was born — a space for exchange and knowledge-sharing around our shared passion.

Later, with Kévin, we launched orchid-info.org, dedicated to education and the dissemination of reliable information on orchid cultivation. We also trained a team of moderators to ensure precise and high-quality responses.

Most recently, I met Rachel, with whom I embarked on the most ambitious project of my career: training students at the University of Saint-Denis, Réunion Island, in partnership with the Mascarin Botanical Conservatory. Together, we are working on the in vitro culture of endangered endemic orchids, with the hope of contributing to their conservation and, ultimately, their reintroduction into their natural habitat.

🌱 From my very first orchid in 2004 to this conservation project, my journey has been guided by three core values: passion, knowledge-sharing, and commitment to biodiversity.
